More and more patients are turning to regenerative procedures for hair restoration. Why?
Because hair transplants are expensive and patients need to take a decent time off from work,
along with having their head shaved.
With a regenerative procedure, patients do not need to shave their head, and there’s no
downtime. A combination of platelet rich plasma and exosomes is increasingly becoming the
most popular method for hair restoration.
Hair restoration providers need to decide the best source to acquire exosome products to use
for their procedures. Six factors should come into play:

1. Source of the exosomes – where have they been sourced?
2. Quality of the product – does it have a lot of exosomes in the product? Or is it diluted
extensively and inferior? How is it processed?
3. Quantity of the product – Once again, providers need to receive a product that has a
considerable quantity of exosomes. It should be a highly concentrated product.
4. Ease of storage – While some providers have an ultra-low temperature freezer on site,
others simply have a refrigerator. Products that have the capability of either storage are
better and easier for providers.
5. Safety of the product – the exosome product should be manufactured in a cGMP
facility. A lot of labs say they are cGMP compliant, then they use non GMP reagents to
make the product. In addition, labs should perform considerable quality control testing
to ensure there are no contaminants or diseases present. This needs to be done in
multiple samples to ensure safety.
6. Pricing – of course this is a factor.

Okay, so let’s discuss the sources first for the exosomes. Bone marrow, adipose and umbilical
cord tissue are commonly used to generate exosomes. A comprehensive proteomic analysis by
Wang et al showed that all three sources contain over 350 proteins in common, and none has
shown superiority when it comes to regeneration potential. So the source is important, but to
date none of them have shown superiority.

The quality of the products is critical. What we have found is way too many manufacturers are
diluting their product considerably, which makes them less concentrated with exosomes. And
hence, less effective for your hair regeneration procedures.

When it comes down to exosome counts, the key is using a product that can provide you a 3 rd
party analysis of their counts. Regen Suppliers has accomplished this, to verify how many
exosomes are in each cc of product.

Regen Suppliers offers two types of exosomes. There is a liquid form, called ReBellaXO. The good
news is that exosomes are acellular, so what’s really being evaluated is the protein integrity. This
product needs to be stored per the following:

1. Ultra-low temperature freezer – the liquid exosome product is good for up to 2 years.

2. Regular freezer – the product is good for up to a year.

3. Regular refrigerator – good for up to a month.

4. Room temperature – good for 10-14 days.
Regen Suppliers also offers ReBellaXOL, which is a lyophilized variety of exosomes. To make the
product, liquid exosomes are placed into a pharmaceutical grade lyophilizer. This extracts the
water from the product, and leaves it with a high grade powder. By using the pharmaceutical
grade lyophilizer, the proteins are protected as opposed to being denatured.
To use the product, providers simply need to reconstitute the product. This activates the
proteins and makes it ready for use!
The storage requirements for the lyophilized exosome product is easy. The product is shelf
stable for two years, and if desired providers can keep it in a refrigerator just like Botox.
When it comes to product safety, it’s imperative to understand the quality control in place for
the product. If a lab is truly cGMP, FDA and AATB compliant, the product needs to be tested
rigorously. This means multiple vials being sent to a third party for sterility. This is very
expensive, but the best labs do it to ensure the safest product is being supplied to customers!
One of the benefits of working with Regen Suppliers for receiving exosomes is we have been in
the business for a long time. We can help providers to understand how to best use the product
for hair restoration. We also have training courses at various locations in the USA.
